1939 Foundation by Theodor Grünewald sen..

1963 Beginning of the continuous extension of the company at Bergkampstreet.

1973 Beginning of the specialisation in young plants under the management of Josef Grünewald. Extension to 7.000 m², after that no more extension at this location in Lünen was possible.

1974 Purchase of an area with 1.000 m² high-glas area in Waltrop..

1984 Building of additional 3.000 m² high-glas area in Waltrop.

1985 Foundation of the Tenerife Plantas S.L. and purchase of a finca of 20.000 m² in La Guancha. Production of mother plants on 5.000 m². Continuous building and extension of the greenhouse area of currently 30.000 m².

1990 Foundation of the Jungpflanzen Grünewald Ges.m.b.H in Linz/Austria.

1992 Purchase of additional company in Buenavista del Norte. Renovation and extension of the company up to the current area of 50.000 m².

1993 Foundation of Jonge Planten Grünewald B.V. and production of an area of 22.000 m².

1993 Building of an loading shed in Waltrop.

1994 Purchase of an own company in MN´s Gravenzande, NL with an entire high area of 9.000 m². Rent of an additional area of 15.000 m².

1997 Foundation of Westland Cactus B.V. MN´s Gravenzande for the commercialization of cactus all over Europe.

1997 Foundation of Tenerife Cactus S.L. for the production of cactus on an area of 20.000 m² on Tenerife.

1998 Foundation of Laboratorios e Investigaciones S.L. and building of an own laboratory with elite mother plant area on Tenerife. chronik7

1998 Foundation of Jungpflanzen Grünewald GmbH and takeover of all market activities of Jungpflanzen Grünewald GbR.

1998 Foundation of Maresme Planteles S.L. in Argentona near Barcelona. Lease of an 8.000 m² area and building of a greenhouse for propagation purposes on 1.500 m².

1999 Foundation of Paper Plug B.V. for production and commercialization of single pots in different sizes.

1999 Foundation of an own cultivation-unit under Grünewald Veredelings B.V. and take over all cultivation activities of all Grünewald companies.

99/2000 Enlargement of the production-area of Maresme Planteles S.L. about 20.000 m² and building of an additional greenhouse area of 1.500 m².

2001 Due to the expansion of our own mother plant production another production site in Kenya was acquired

2002 Jungpflanzen Grünewald GmbH was taken over the lease of a further nursery of 10.000 sq.mtrs. in Hansell (D) for the production of half finished plants

2003 onge Planten Gruenewald B.V. bought another nursery of appr. 10.000 sq. mtrs. in s-Gravenzande (NL)

2003 The formation of GGG International GmbH to expand the distribution of young plants for the overseas market.

2004 Jungpflanzen Grünewald GmbH has taken over yet another lease of a nursery of 10.000 sq. mtrs. in Castrop-Rauxel for the rotation of young plants.

2004 Foundation of OOO. Gruenewald in Moscow, Russia and arrangement a sales office in Moscow

2005 Cooperation with the company Ritmo Tarim in Antalya for production of grasses young plants

2005 Rent a 50.000 sm glasshouse in Nordkirchen for propagation of unrooted cuttings.
